Braised Beef Plate and Tendons with Zhuhou Sauce


Beef Plate 600 g
Beef Tendon 300 g
White Radish 600 g
Ginger slice 4 slices
Corn Starch 1 tbsp
Water 700 ml
Spice Pack
Sichuan Pepper 1 tbsp
Grosvenor Momordica 1/2 pc
Star Anise 2 pcs
Zhuhou Sauce 3 tbsp
Oyster Sauce 2 tbsp
Mei Kuel Lu Chiew 2 tbsp
Rock Sugar 20 g


  1. Rinse the beef plate and tendon. Use Panasonic IH Cooker heat a large pot of water and blanch the beef for 5 minutes and rinse again.
  2. Chop the beef and tendon into a bite size, white radish into a large chunk.
  3. Put the sichuan pepper, star anise and grosvenor momordica into the spice pack and tie for spare.
  4. Add the beef plate and tendon into the Panasonic Electronic Pressure Cooker SR-PS608/SR-PS508, mix with corn starch, Zhuhou sauce, oyster sauce and Mei Kuel Lu Chiew.
  5. Put in the spice pack, white radish, ginger slices, rock sugar and water.
  6. Close the outer lid and lock the lid lock, select「Pressure Select - High」,press「Time Setting - / +」set the cooking time to 20 minutes,press「Start」,it is ready to be served once the cooker has de-pressurized.
