Beef Wellington

Ingredients

Beef Tenderloin 500 g
Prama Ham 4 pcs
Minced Mushroom 400g
Minced Garlic 2 tbsp.
Puff Pastry 1 pc
Mustard 2 tbsp.
Fresh Thyme (Finely chopped) 1 pc
Egg Yolk 1pc
Black Pepper
Salt
Oil

Directions

  1. Season the beef tenderloin with salt and black pepper. Add oil to a pan over high heat, fry and seal all sides.
  2. Coat the beef tenderloin with mustard and let cool for later use.
  3. Take out the puff pastry and soften at room temperature.
  4. Pan fry the minced garlic, mushroom and thyme until liquid has evaporated and let cool for later use.
  5. Shingle the prama ham on the plastic wrap and spread the minced mushroom evenly. Put the beef tenderloin on top. Roll tightly and twist ends of plastic wrap tightly into a log and transfer to fridge to chill for 15 mins.
  6. Place the puff pastry on another plastic wrap. Remove tenderloin from plastic wrap and place on the puff pastry. Brush the four edges of the pastry with egg wash.
  7. Then tightly roll beef into pastry, twist ends of plastic wrap tightly and transfer to fridge to chill for 15 mins.
  8. Preheat the Panasonic "Inverter" Steam & Grill Microwave Oven NN-CS89LB by selecting “Convection” mode at 180℃.
  9. Remove the plastic wrap and transfer the roll to the Grill Tray with baking sheet, brush the roll with egg wash.
  10. Use a knife to gently score the roll and create a decorative pattern, sprinkle with flaky salt.
  11. After preheat, put the Grill Tray into the middle shelf position of the "Inverter" Steam & Grill Microwave Oven and set for 30 mins.
  12. Let rest 15 minutes before carving and serving.
