The LUMIX S1M2 combines expressive photo quality with advanced video capabilities, featuring a new 24.1MP partially stacked CMOS sensor for high-speed readout and stunning clarity. Capture 5.1K 60p open gate, C4K/4K 120p, and oversampled 4K video with rich detail and low noise. Dynamic Range Boost, REAL TIME LUT, and HEIF recording offer greater creative control and workflow flexibility.

Fastest AFC burst shooting in the LUMIX S Series*1 AFC 70 fps Burst Shooting

With a newly developed partially stacked CMOS sensor that enables high-speed readout, the camera offers AFC burst shooting at approximately 10 fps using the mechanical shutter*2. Switch to the electronic shutter's SH Burst or SH Pre-Burst modes, and you can capture critical moments at up to 70 fps*3, even during fast-moving scenes like sports, wildlife, or vehicles. The viewfinder and monitor stay blackout-free, allowing for confident framing with post view support.

Urban Sports Recognition

The LUMIX S1M2 enhances human recognition by adding Urban Sports to existing detection capabilities for eyes, faces, and bodies, accurately capturing dynamic movements like breakdancing, skateboarding, and parkour.

This model also recognizes bicycles, alongside humans, animals, cars, motorcycles, trains and airplanes, offering detailed targeting options such as human and animal eyes, vehicle windshields, the helmets of drivers and motorcyclists, or the nose of an airplane.*4

Delivering higher frame rates and richer gradation with 5.1K 60p Open Gate Video

Offering open gate recording at 6K 30p 4:2:0 10-bit (3:2) and 5.1K 60p 4:2:0 10-bit (3:2), this model allows for flexible post-production cropping while maintaining image quality. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of social media platforms and client needs. Up to three frame markers can be displayed on the monitor, allowing for a preview of how the content will appear in different aspect ratios. RAW video output via HDMI is also supported.

A Highly Adaptable Monitor for Any Style

A new 1,840k-dot tilt and free-angle rear monitor can be tilted up and down along the optical axis. Also, the monitor can be rotated freely while tilted without interfering with HDMI or USB cables, which is useful for photography and video shooting. The 5.76 million dots OLED monitor presents the subject with fine gradations and high clarity throughout, delivering eye-level resolution.
